Facebook can update their user interface and menu items at any time, so for the most up-to-date information on how to find the Business Integration settings please see Facebook's documentation at this link.
Overview
There are several cases where the API integration that was saved under the Business Integration settings needs to be removed:
- Your Facebook account has been given access to new Pages or Groups after the original authorization was performed, and the authorization process must be done again to give access to those new assets.
- Facebook has made changes to their permissions or updated their policies; if you have not streamed for some time with the Facebook account through the API integration, the previously-saved settings may no longer be valid and you may receive an error when trying to stream.
- The authorization was performed on a temporary basis for streaming, and you no longer need to stream from that specific Facebook account using the Teradek device / Airmix app / cloud streaming service.
NOTE: once you have removed the Business Integration from your Facebook account, you must delete all previously-save destinations from the Live:Air apps or the Core or Sharelink services -- you will no longer be able to stream to those previously-saved destinations even after completing the authorization process again.
De-authorizing / removing the API integration
Step 1. Log into the Facebook account and click the downward-facing arrow located at the top right of the web interface for Facebook, click Settings & Privacy, then click Settings in the menu that appears:
Step 2. Click Business Integrations in the left hand column:
Step 3. Select the checkbox for any Business Integrations that you wish to remove, click Remove, then click Remove again:
Step 4. Once the Business Integration is no longer active on your Facebook account you should see it in the Removed section:
Step 5. Delete any saved destinations associated with this Facebook account from the Airmix Solo, Airmix, Core or Sharelink services (depending on which Business Integration was removed), as you will no longer be able to stream to them even after completing the API configuration process again.
Step 6. Log out of the Facebook account on the Teradek hardware encoder, or from the Airmix Solo or Airmix apps, or the Core or Sharelink services.
Step 7. If desired, you are now able to perform the API configuration process with your Facebook account.
