Overview
The Teradek Link can be powered from either the 2-pin locking power input, or through Power over Ethernet / PoE input.
2-pin Locking Connector
The Link has a 2-pin locking power input that accepts a range of 12 to 24 Volts DC, labeled (N) in the Link Quick Start Guide.
Pin-out:
- Pin 1 : GND
- Pin 2 : +DC
NOTE: Pin 1 is closest to the red dot on the LEMO connector.
Power over Ethernet / PoE
The Link has a passive Power over Ethernet / PoE power input on the LAN connector, labeled (L) in the Link Quick Start Guide.
For additional information on Link's PoE input, refer to this article.
No Power Loop-Through
There is no power loop-through functionality on the 2-pin locking power connector and the PoE input -- each one only serves as an input.
For example:
- if a Link is receiving power input on the PoE connector, it does not output power on the 2-pin locking power connector to power another device such as a Serv Pro or a Cube.
- if a Link is receiving power input on the 2-pin power connector, it does not output power on the PoE port to power another device.
