If your video source is not outputting video to Spark, or if you are receiving an HD signal when both the camera and the monitor support 4K, the camera may be having trouble figuring out which signal to send. Many video sources use EDID signaling over HDMI to determine which video format to send in order for it to be compatible with the connected monitor. Use the following steps to ensure that the camera detects your output monitor's capabilities correctly.
- Power on both the Spark 4K transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX). Ensure the TX and RX are paired. Do not connect your video source. NOTE: For instructions on how to pair your TX and RX, click here.
- Connect the RX output to your monitor. NOTE: If you intend to stream in 4K, make sure to connect a 4K monitor.
- Once both the TX and RX are linked, ensure that No Video is displayed on the front panel of both devices.
- Connect the camera/source to your TX. Your camera now should receive information about the supported resolutions of the monitor and adjust its output resolution accordingly.
