SDI Ancillary Data Most Bolt models support a limited subset of SDI ancillary data (metadata) from certain cameras. The following data can be passed wirelessly from the Bolt transmitter to the Bolt receiver:
- Start/stop record flags
- Time code
- File/clip name (RED and ARRI* cameras)
- Full metadata except for LUTs (ARRI* cameras)
* NOTE: Bolt 4K and Bolt XT models only

The following Bolt models are capable of transmitting the SDI ancillary data (metadata) listed above:
- 1st gen Bolt Pro
- 1st gen Bolt 2000 TX** (hardware refresh / updated model)
- 2nd gen Bolt 300
- 2nd gen Bolt 600
- 2nd gen Bolt 2000
- 3rd gen Bolt 500/1000/3000
- Bolt 500/1000 LT (SDI only)
- Bolt 500/1000/3000 XT
- Bolt 4K 750/1500/MAX
** NOTE: Only the refreshed hardware TX model with a serial number starting sequence of 981xxxxx supports this function.
The following Bolt models are NOT capable of supporting SDI ancillary data:
- 1st gen Bolt Standard TX / serial number starting sequence 700xxxxx
- 1st gen Bolt Standard RX / serial number starting sequence 705xxxxx
- 1st gen Bolt 2000 TX (original model) / serial number starting sequence 768xxxxx
- 1st gen Bolt 2000 RX / serial number starting sequence 769xxxxx

The following cameras are capable of transmitting SDI ancillary data, although any camera with time code embedded in the SDI signal should work:
- RED Epic, Scarlet -- Supports time code, record start/stop, and file/clip name
- ARRI --Supports time code and record start/stop. Supports full metadata (except for LUT) on Bolt 4K and Bolt XT models only.
- Canon C300/C500/XF305/XF105 -- Supports time code and record start/stop
- Sony F3/F5/F55 -- Supports time code and record start/stop
- Panasonic AF100 -- Supports time code
- JVC HM650 - Supports time code
