FIRMWARE VERSION:
- 3.0.5 and earlier
ISSUE:
Some customers have reported that the audio and video sync can drift over time with recordings performed on SD card or USB media with the VidiU Pro.
The audio / video sync is maintained on the encoded RTMP stream sent out by the VidiU Pro, it is only the local recording that is affected.
FIX:
This issue has been fixed as of firmware version 3.0.6.
WORKAROUND:
There is no in-unit workaround at this time at the VidiU Pro; if recordings are needed, it is suggested that in-camera recording or a purpose-built recording device is used with the video source, and/or recording at the streaming video platform / streaming server is performed (e.g. recordings saved to YouTube Live, Facebook Live, Ustream, etc.).
