3rd generation Bolt and 2nd generation Sidekick
- All 3rd generation Bolt units (original series, as well as the XT and LT models announced at NAB 2018) and the 2nd generation Sidekick (Sidekick II) can use the wired pairing option built into the most recent versions of the Bolt Manager for Windows or Mac.
- These models can also use the separate Bolt Manager hardware appliance to perform wired pairing.

2nd generation Bolt and 1st generation Sidekick
- All 2nd generation Bolt units, and the Sidekick (original / 1st generation) are not compatible with wired pairing using the Bolt Manager software for Windows/Mac.
- These models are not compatible with the Bolt Manager hardware appliance.
- These models must perform wireless pairing.
1st generation Bolt 2000
- The 1st generation Bolt 2000 units use a hybrid pairing method that requires Bolt Manager for Windows/Mac to communicate with the 1st generation Bolt 2000 TX and RX.
- The Bolt Manager software places the TX and RX unit into a pairing mode, but the actual pairing process is performed over a wireless connection.
- These models are not compatible with the Bolt Manager hardware appliance.
1st generation Bolt Standard / Bolt Pro
