The Link has a built-in web server that allows configuration of all settings through its Web User Interface (Web UI).
The Web UI is accessed using a computer (Mac, Windows, or Linux system), tablet or phone with a web browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Safari).
The Quick Start Guide has information on the default settings of the link such as Wi-Fi network names, IP addresses and passwords -- refer to this article.
The below steps assume that the Link is at factory default settings for IP address and password.
If you have changed those items away from the factory default settings, make sure to use those updated items when trying to access the Link's Web UI.
Wireless connection / Link in Access Point (AP) mode
1. Scan for wireless networks from your device, and connect to the network name corresponding to either the Link's 2.4 or 5 GHz wireless network. By default, there is no Wi-Fi password on either of the Link's wireless networks.
2. The factory default settings are for the Link to act as a DHCP server and assign an IP address to devices which connect to the LAN port; as long as your device is configured as a DHCP client, your device should receive an IP address in the 172.16.2.x range.
3. Open your web browser and enter 172.16.2.1 to bring up the login page for the Link's Web UI.
4. Log in with the username (admin) and password (admin).
Wired Ethernet
1. Connect the device to the Link's LAN Ethernet port, indicated by item (L) in the Quick Start Guide.
