When using Wirecast 7, please make sure you have the latest Stream Reader Plug-in.
- Port Numbers are extremely important. Pay attention!
- Understand Push Vs Pull Streams
- Teradek advises putting your devices on Static IP addresses so that you don't have to repeat yourself every time DHCP gives your devices a new IP address.
RTSP (Pull Stream)
- Set a Static IP address on the Cube and Wirecast
- Set the Cube for RTSP on port 554
- Open the Stream Reader Plug-In and Select RTSP over TCP
- Enter in the IP address and the correct port number (usually 554) PRESS TAB
- The stream name should be defaulted as stream1.
- Press apply to preview the stream. Once you have content, close the window.
Cube
Wirecast / Ustream Producer
TDS (Push Stream)
- Set a Static IP address on the Cube and Wirecast
- Set the Cube for TDS Mode
- Set your quality settings as needed.
- Set Stream Mode : Manual
- Set Target : Cube Decoder
- Set Protocol : UDP
- Set Destination IP of Wirecast Computer
- Set Destination port as appropriate (ie 9710 for the first device, 9711 for the second etc)
- Open the Stream Reader Plug-In and Select Teradek Streaming over UDP.
- Enter in the IP address and the correct port number (9710,9711 etc.) PRESS TAB
- Press Apply to preview. Once the stream shows up, press ok.
- Be aware of any firewalls that may block those particular ports.
