- Cube 100/120/130 or 200/220/230 or 500/520: these Cube models only support unbalanced, line level audio input.
- Cube 150 or 250 or 550, and newer Cube 100/200/500 models: these Cube models support mic-level audio input as well as unbalanced, line level audio input.
2. How many channels of audio does Cube support?
- Input
- 2 channels of embedded audio input for both 1xx (SDI) and 2xx (HDMI) models
- 2 channels of analog audio input for both 1xx (SDI) and 2xx (HDMI), and 5xx (Composite) models
- Output
- 2 channels of embedded audio output for both 3xx (SDI) and 4xx (HDMI) models
- 2 channels of analog audio output for both 3xx (SDI) and 4xx (HDMI) models
3. Does Cube support embedded audio over SD-SDI input/output?
- Yes, as of Cube firmware version 4.6.0.
4. Do Cube Encoders provide plug-in power or phantom power on the analog audio input jack?
- No, Cube does not provide either plug-in power or phantom power to devices connected to the analog audio input.
5. Do Cube Decoders accept phantom power on the analog audio output jack?
- No, Cube does not support receiving phantom power when a device (mixer console / sound board / etc.) is connected to its analog audio input.
- CAUTION: connecting phantom power to Cube's analog audio output can damage the Cube. Disable phantom power or other power sources when connected to the Cube Decoder's analog audio output jack.
