Due to resource limitations associated with cloud Engines in Core, all stopped or standby engines that have been inactive for 2 weeks will be automatically removed from your account.
What engines will be affected by this ?
Transcoders and Overlay Studio Events.
Will my Hyperion or Helios engine be deleted?
No, if your Hyperion or Helios engine is online it won’t be removed. If a Hyperion or a Helios engine is online, it will remain online until the user manually removes it. It is not possible to manually stop a Hyperion or a Helios engine.
Will devices auto-reconnect to Core if the engine they were last connected to is deleted?
No. If the last engine that the device was connected to is deleted, your device will not automatically connect to Core. To connect it back to Core you will need to access the device locally and select a new server to connect to. This scenario is most likely when using Cube with a transcoder engine.
How does the deleted engine affect my billing?
It does not affect your billing. Core only bills for online servers. You won’t be billed for a standby server, and you won’t be billed for having a standby server removed.
