APPLIES TO:
- Sphere firmware version 1.1.0
ISSUE:
When the incoming source resolution in the Add / Arrange Sources section of the Sphere app is set to 864 or 1080 and the default video bitrate of 2 Mbps is set for the sources, the stitched / encoded video quality may show artifacts or other video quality issues.
This issue is not present when using a source resolution of 720 for the incoming sources at the default 2 Mbps video bitrate.
FIX:
A future version of the Sphere app will enforce presets that are higher than 2 Mbps when a resolution greater than 720 is selected.
WORKAROUND:
To use a source resolution of 864 or 1080, increase the source video bitrate to at least 5 Mbps.
When 864 resolution is used, the source encoded video bitrate should not be lower than 3.5 Mbps.
When 1080 resolution is used, the source encoded video bitrate should not be lower than 5 Mbps.
The source video bitrate can be configured up to 7.5 Mbps for each individual source.
