Default Wi-Fi Configuration
The built-in Wi-Fi adapter in the T-RAX system is configured in Access Point (AP) mode for local device configuration, but is disabled by default as a security measure.
In order to access the unit over Wi-Fi, the wireless adapter must be enabled from within the T-RAX system's web UI over a wired Ethernet connection.
Once enabled, the factory default Wi-Fi settings are below:
Wi-Fi network name: Teranet-0
Security Mode: WPA2 Personal
Password: terawifi
IP Address: 172.16.116.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Wi-Fi Configuration Options
The Wi-Fi adapter in the T-RAX system is only intended for initial setup or local configuration directly in wireless range of the unit, and cannot be used for streaming or other purposes.
- The network name, security mode and password can be changed for the AP mode configuration.
- The adapter cannot be configured as a client to another Wi-Fi network (e.g. joining a network created by a home or business router or additional access point). It will only work in AP mode.
